Great news! I feel bad askin this question, but what does Tracking mean? I would guess that they have a bunch of demos they chose for the album..... |
Tracking is the actual recording instruments process of recording the album. As you know, every song is comprised of multiple tracks (several tracks for drums with each drum being mic-ed and with overhead mics for cymbals, multiple guitar tracks, vocal track, etc) that are for the most part recorded separate from each other. Generally, the drum tracks all get done first, then bass tracks are recorded over them, then guitars, then vocals at the end.
Anywho, excited for this album! While I can understand why many did not like White Crosses, I found it to be very enjoyable, and the Russian Spies/Occult Enemies 7" was also VERY good. I really love the way this band has progressed, while "punk" fans have argued about whether or not this band is still "punk", they've ignored that and always challenged themselves to get better and better. Stoked for the next step in that progression.
