The Futureheads A Capella Album

Posted by: Kyle Huntington (02/15/12)
The Futureheads will release a totally a capella album titled Rant on April 2nd via their own Nul Records. The first single and double a-side "Meet Me Halfway"/"The Number 1 Song In Heaven" will be released on the same day. Speaking of the new direction, guitarist Ross Millard said:
Quote:
If we were gonna carry on making music, we needed to change it up. Making another Futureheads record as per usual wasn’t something that appealed to us. We’ve always been a four-part harmony group; it’s been a massive part of the genetics of this band.

Not even a fan at all, but this sounds cool. If 4 dudes can harmonize well enough, why the hell not.

Their debut is truly such a great, fun, post-punk album. People should really check it out if they haven't already. Their harmonies are superb on that too.

Gang Of Four, early Bloc Party, Hot Club De Paris, The Cribs.

Make sure it's their debut you check out first, easily the best and way above the others, as much as I enjoy their other albums too.

They definitely know how to harmonize, but I wonder how well they'll pull their idea off.
