Frightened Rabbit - The Midnight Organ Fight is the perfect album for the end of a relationship. Bitter, jealous, petty, violent, but still completely and utterly smitten. That album arrived at pretty much the perfect time for me in my personal life. Tegan and Sara's Nineteen has pretty much the same affect on me.

Totally depends on the kind of love. I'm a sucker for brokenhearted love especially. "Walk Away Renee" by the Left Banke is probably the best example. Damaged people loving what they can't have. #mylife

As for more general love stuff, the simplicity of older love songs really strikes me. Elvis doing "Can't Help Falling in Love" or "Love Me Tender", The Beatles doing "I Will", Smokey singing "You've Really Got a Hold on Me" or ESPECIALLY The Flamingos "I Only Have Eyes for You." Nothing flowery. Just pure, simple devotion.

And there's a special place in my heart for a power ballad, especially "Faithfully" by Journey.
