Honestly, I don't blame you. If something like that happened when I was neutral with ATL, only with a band I feel passionate about, I would've become cynical too. I just kind of naturally grew to liking them. They're nice, smart dudes that make fun pop music. Even if they've gone downhill a little, I still think they have good intentions, which I find admirable.

Agree completely--ATL is actually a great band...yes Dirty Work wasn't great, but even it's growing on me. The guys are nice and sincere and are just trying to make good music. Their live show (from what I've heard) is great. Plus, why is it such a bad thing to go a bit more poppy--having a poppy sound doesn't mean you've sold out or something--it just means your music has catchy hooks and may get radio play.

They really are. I know they get a bad wrap because of their fanbase, but that's such a small part of their musical background to me. Dirty Work wasn't stellar, but from that interview I saw, they kind of recognized that the album didn't really have a very natural flow. Tracks like "Return The Favor" and "That Girl" stuck out like a sore thumb, while "A Daydream Away" and "Heroes" (both which hold their merit against their early material) soar. And their live performance is incredible. I've seen them three times (soon to be four...five if they do play Warped Tour), and their show never gets old. Highly recommended if they come to your stop. :)

What he said. If you're on the fence about All Time Low, see them at Warped. You should be in for a very fun 40 minutes if nothing else
