New York has always been where offensive stars go to die, the difference is now they have a solid team from top to bottom and dont need to rely on Richards. They can roll 4 lines. Sure it would be great if he put up his career norm but it isnt even needed right now. He makes his money in the playoffs anyway.
Its another reason why I think New York should stay the hell away from Nash and Parise
The Rangers, in their current form, can only go as far as the second round of the playoffs. They have not been the same team following the allstar break, and too many players are slumping at once (Richards, Dubinsky, Boyle, Prust, Rupp, Fedotenko, Staal, Hagelin, Mitchell, etc.).
I don't want Rick Nash but the Rangers need to trade for a top 6 forward before the deadline if they want to make a run.
