The song was good, but I will always always always miss when they played FTW as Amen. the Animal.

They still play it sometimes; I work the door for most of their homeshows and they played it last year and it nearly destroyed the venue.

Great song...Andrew Baylis said they were moving towards a harder sound, and they got it. Nonetheless, S+S is such a good album.

So awesome. Really nothing new, but is that such a bad thing?! They are so good at what they do and are better than the other bands doing the same thing!

To everyone that is commenting about the song: you haven't done any real analysis of the song. While "Atypical" does feature a somewhat similar structure to a lot of their other songs, it still has dynamics, really well written riffs, sweet guitar effects on the vamps, and LOR managed to use dubstep style programming tastefully (that's close to impossible in my opinion). On top of all of this, Pat wrote meaningful lyrics to the song and he has some vocal parts that other bands would never think to do (the almost-close-to-talking singing Pat does when singing "I'm not settling for less again"). I think the production is better as compared to all of their previous releases. Overall, i think it's a really sweet song. Kudos LOR.

You could say it's "a typical" release for the genre.
