In lieu of the upcoming release Plans Within Plans, I ask of the 8 previous studio albums by MxPx...which is your fav? And No I'm not counting EPs, Cover albums or anything else.

Huge MxPx fan, and my favorite is Before Everything & After. I suppose that makes me a rarity, but I love that album! The Ever Passing Moment is fantastic as well.

1. Before Everything & After
2. The Ever Passing Moment
3-5. Three way tie between Buffalo, Life in General, and Secret Weapon (all of which I love dearly)
6. Panic
7. Teenage Politics

It's always misleading to make lists like this about a band that you've loved for years, because it gives the impression that you don't really like the albums that are towards the bottom of the list. The reality is that some of my least favorite MxPx albums are better than my FAVORITE albums by other bands. This band has been good for so long.

Life in General > Teenage Politics > Let It Happen > Buffalo > Ever Passing Moment > Panic > the rest

the first few tracks from the Arthur album are better than anything post-Panic.

I feel like this s one of those bands where the album that gets you into them is destined to be your favorite. Hence, Ever Passing Moment for me.

My first MxPx cd was their live At the Show album and since most the songs they played on that were on Buffalo I had to go with that one. Life in General is a very close second, though.
