Does anyone else besides me think "it gets better" rules |
Yes. Me. I love showing that track off to first time listeners in my car. As soon as that rattling beat begins, and the windshields in my car are shaking, I can see a smile come over their face. I truly love this CD. It gives me a lot of joy to be able to share something I think is absolutely brilliant with people, and have them respond with enthusiasm. Aim and Ignite is brilliant, along with most everything the three artists have done in the past (I'm not a huge anathallo fan) and this album is no exception. Nate's old band was named "The Format" after the way that bands need to sound a certain way to be popular. I've seen a lot of people use that fact
against this album, but I think it's pretty sad that these "fans" don't even realize that now
they're the ones telling him how to sound. It's so damn hypocritical it pisses me off. If you don't like the album that's fine, but don't think that they should change their sound to the way you want it just because you don't like what they've done with their music. I wonder how many people
actually don't like the way the autotune sounds vs how many people dismissed it based on the preconcieved thoughts towards the effect. Anyways, yes I like It Gets Better. I didn't get off track there did I? Haha
