I understand that most of what makes a hardcore band great is the community they are built around, but i felt like most of these bands were awful. There were some gems, for sure. But seriously, 90% of the songs on this sampler were note for note identical.

There isn't one band on this compilation that are "note for note identical", some of them may sound the same to you because they are playing a certain style of music, in this case hardcore. Every single one of the bands on my comp are different in there own individual way. This is real hardcore, no bullshit, "Passion Over Fashion" hardcore. Looking through the bands that you listen to, it looks like don't even listen to hardcore in the first place. But I hope this clears it up.

Yeah, I don't listen to hardcore all that much, but I had never really given it a chance. I downloaded this sampler hoping to appreciate it a little more. I definitely have respect for anyone that's willing to make music and put themselves out there, but I guess hardcore just isn't my thing. Thanks for responding!
