i know soupy and co and atleast half twy fans rag on the album, but i still think keystone state and keeping it real are solid enough tracks. the intro to fruit punched is what go me into the band. (local man solidified me). but yea, upsides, suburbia and that new split are better.

fruit punch still makes me smile if not laugh

I think I mostly like An Evening Out by FOB because of the nostalgia attached to it. I think Get Stoked is similar. I think that comparison works well. For me, Folie a Deux didn't have much lasting value. I liked it when it was out and during the tours. However, with getting into other stuff, it kind of fell out of rotation quickly. I still jam TTTYG, FUTCT, and Infinity pretty regularly. Perhaps I should revisit Folie a Deux?

Doesn't the band hate the shit out of this album? I wonder what Soupy thinks about this.

It's already on Spotify...

Also, the original cover is way better.

How does it sound?

The synth on this album annoys the fuck out of me. Lyrics are terrible as well.

Preferring their "older' material is cool. Most of us don't consider AEOWYG canon. I honestly don't think anyone's being honest with themselves if they think AEOWYG can touch the band's albums that come after. I think it's more people wanting to be different ... because "everyone" loves TTTYG.

tttyg is the easiest to indetify with, and it holds alot of sentiments because of when it came out to alot people, myself included, but I think IOH is just as solid. FAD gets too much hate. Like cork tree the least

I like the Kerouac Original Scroll homage. Kudos to whoever designed this cover (I'm assuming Chris).

I would revisit FAD. It is definitely my favorite FOB album.

I love the song "racing trains"

Love Racing Trains, I always want to put it on mixes but he never actually finishes his last word when it cuts into the Zombie song.

I didn't say it was a good album. It's definitely the worst material that they released. But that doesn't mean it isn't fun and catchy. The fuck cares if they're singing about Cap'n Crunch and ninjas? Everyones looking for the next brilliant lyricist or whatever, why can't there be a place for this as well? As someone said I think this album just shows how much the band has grown since they began. They obviously knew how to write songs from the Premier days, they were just having fun with this one and it shows
i don't disagree with any of this, it's definitely a fun album meant to just screw around and have fun with it, but i don't know, i don't really gain anything when i listen to it other than thinking "wow, they got so much better." pretty much the same way i feel about FOB's evening out or thrice's identity crisis.

The cover is a parody of On The Road: The Original Scroll, is it not? At least that's what I originally thought of.

I don't get why the wonder years would sign off on this unless they were trying to help out no sleep. They hate this record, why would they want to put it more in the public

It's a fun album and is incredibly catchy. Don't know how you guys dislike it. Obviously not on par with the newer stuff, but the songs on this are in no way bad. I've actually laughed out loud to some of the lyrics on this (not because they're bad, but because they're genuinely funny). It's such a feel-good record.

I agree! Let's Moshercise makes me laugh every time I listen to it. I guess people hate fun albums on this site?

In our opinion, this record is a trainwreck. Chris paid to get it remastered forever ago and we kept trying to put off its inevitable rerelease. He and I agreed that since its already available digitally, that no real harm can come of swapping out the old mixes with the better sounding ones as long as it never gets pressed in a physical form again. That's the long and short of it. If you like the record, enjoy the new mixes. If you hate the record, I'm on your side. We won't be playing any of these songs live in support of this. We don't even consider it a rerelease. Just a swap out for a better mix.
