I usually use
-MIJ 2007 Fender Jaguar HH with a gibson dirty fingers pickup in bridge and duncan 59 in neck
-Mogami Platinum cables
-Boss TU-2
-Ibanez Tube Screamer (new version, don't use that often because I prefer amp overdrive)
-Mesa Triple Rectifier (don't like it as much as I used to, but it gets the job done)
-Marshall 1960 flat with Celestion G12s

I also think a lot of my tone comes from using DR Hi Beam strings

on another note, in case anyone cares my bass rig is as follows:
-1999 Musicman Stingray
-Tech 21 Sansamp bass driver (for quick tone changes, but usually off)
-Ampeg SVT4pro head
-GK Neo 412 cabinet (costs a bit, but its light as hell and sounds good)

if you just want a simple reverb i totally suggest the holy grail. if you want something a bit more advanced and a tad bit more expensive, grab the electro harmonix cathedral verb

Got an early 80's Japan made Boss CE-2 chorus recently. Not the most versatile chorus out there but it does that classic lush, drenched 80's sound amazingly well. You can definitely get some Petty and early Frusciante tones with it.
Really looking into revamping my rig, been eyeing a Fender Hot Rod Deville 4x10 and a Les Paul Junior. Those Fulltone '69's sound ace, too.
Anyone have any compressor rec's? Been using a CS-3 for a while but not 100% satisfied. Has anyone tried the TRex Compnova?

makes me miss my old JMP-1

Oh i still love the JMP-1 but the Diezel just blows everything i've ever played and owned out of the water. It's almost scary. Better be great for a $4k amp though lol. (Glad i was able to get it for $2900 used haha)

I went from a rack with the JMP-1 and a Peavey Classic 50/50 (EL84) to a Shiva, so I know the world of difference haha. Hopefully someday I can add a Diezel to my collection, but I have quite a few that I want before that as well. It will be quite the trophy room before I die!
