Today we are premiering Brothers of Brazil's music video for "On My Way." Head to the replies to watch it. The duo are well-known in their home country of Brazil, where they hosted a television show, and now they're making a name for themselves in America. They are Warped Tour veterans and just performed at Bamboozle this past weekend. Their new EP, On My Way, is out now via SideOneDummy Records.
they're not well known around here at all. well, not their band. they had a tv show, but i don't know what happened to that. the blonde dude is actually pretty well known. nicknames himself "Supla". check out his video for "Green Hair", it's hilarious! could be the lowest budget music video i've ever seen.
i don't know shit about the other guy. i think he's younger, but they're both pretty old to begin with (around their 40's i think).
they're both sons of an also very well known senator, Eduardo Suplicy, who's heading for his fifth straight mandate - around 30 years.
don't know how the fuck they got a deal with S1D. i can't stand Supla's voice and didn't think their music would ever be taken seriously.

You're absolutely right. I never heard of anyone who actually like this guys, and i don't think people even know they're in a real band.

What stuff is big down there if you don't mind me asking? I'm just curious, I've always been interested in Brazil and I'd love to go there one day.

hey Deborah,
I'm an American but have made quite a few trips to Brazil for extended periods of time. If you ever want some info through a "foreigner's eyes" just PM me. I feel I could be a lot of help and would love to chat.

Hi everyone! This is Supla from Brothers of Brazil! I've been playing music since I'm 14 years-old !doing gigs in Brazilian clubs, and when I was 18 I got my first break with my band called Tokyo (signed to EPIC records 1986) then I had a solo career (EMI records) and after that, I moved to NY from 94 to 99 and joined a band called Psycho 69 (Metal/PunkCore)! Then I moved back to Brazil and I participated on the first reality show in Brazil...
I sold more then 800 thousands CD's on the magazine stands! (totally independent way of selling CD - DIY)
And that video "Green Hair" really helped me! It s a very low budget video that I love - doesn't have to spend a lot of money to be good! And people really love it! By the way the video of "On My Way" was shot on my Iphone! no cost!!!!
Besides my parents being politicians, I just got say one thing, I'm very proud of them, and I never did hide that fact from anyone! I love for what they stand for!!!

hi there! right now we have the Adele hurricane taking over the radio and tv drama soundtracks (as in most countries). you step into the supermarket, you hear one of her songs on the speakers. it's unavoidable.
as for national music, have you heard of "ai se eu te pego"? if you haven't, you will. that's the kind of stuff dominating the stations around here. it's pretty depressing: same chords, same tempos, same lyrics (usually the "i'm over you, i'll go party with my friends while you regret letting me go" thing and stuff), same looks.
that's why i don't listen to radio anymore. it's getting worse by the minute, just like up there.
