About 200 pages into the re-read, and it's just great. Wonderful. Rothfuss' prose entices the reader from the first page yet again. I would be surprised if those who read the first book didn't like the follow-up; the most significant difference I can remember is that TWMF has more action sequences.

If the next book comes out before 2015, I'd be shocked tbh.
It's scheduled for May of next year...

I'm about 300 pages into The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier & Clay right now. It's taking forever to read it for some reason, but I really like it. Any other books by Chabon that I should check out?

I really enjoyed that book a lot until the last two to three hundred pages. I don't know why, but I just started hating it the more I read it.

WHAT!? Source, please?

I'm positive Rothfuss said not too long ago that Book 3 is "a good few years away".

Well I've read on Goodreads that it's May 1 2013, and there is a post by Rothfuss himself in there that discusses the fact that people are reviewing a book that isn't out yet. He doesn't mention anything about the release date, but he also doesn't shut it down. So I'll hold out hope.

Hmm, lukewarm connection at best I think. The difference between Book 1 and 2 was a solid 4 years so, I'd expect something close to that length. It would be beyond amazing if the next one came out next year, however.

They're great Fantasy stories and there's a lot of discussion online analysing the series so far. Tor.com have been doing a thorough read-through for both, but the threads are stock-filled with spoilers, so definitely avoid until you've read TWMF.

I've just finished half of the Outlander series by Diana Gabaldon and it was amazing. Highly recommended for people who liked the Time Travelers Wife and historical fiction.

All of them. The Yiddish Policemen's Union and The Mysteries of Pittsburgh rank highly for me. Wonder Boys is also worth a look, especially if you like novels that are about the experience of being a novelist.

Thanks to a couple of B&N gift cards for my birthday, I've found some seriously fantastic deals when it comes to their "Barnes and Noble Classics" series. Just picked up this amazing Dostoevsky collection for $25:

Did that come as a package deal. There's some ones in there I don't have but I seriously love these publishers that print these old books and I can pick them up new for cheap (even though I try to buy used when I can)

For those of you who have read The Hunger Games and The Giver, can someone help me out? I have a project due and I'm lost. How does the question "Do I dare disturb the universe?" play out in these two novels?

Also picked up this Oscar Wilde collection:

As well as Dawkins' The God Delusion and The Greatest Show on Earth. Any suggestions on what to read first?

The God Delusion was a fast and easy read. So it might get you in the mood. You know light summer beach reads
