I also went to college with 15 kids from my high school including one of my roommates (which is pretty crazy considering my graduating class was only 276 people), which is also a factor in my not really into being excited to go to a reunion.

I'll be graduating in December too! Oh and I turned 21 last week haha. We're growing old together

all of my best friends are people from my high school. in fact some of my best friends now are people i went to high school with but wasn't friends with then. funny how it works out.

Yeah, that's part of why I wouldn't go....all the people that were my friends in HS either stayed local and went to the same college, or went to Penn State. A few actually went off elsewhere, and it'd be cool to hang with them, but my other friends just lead such completely different lives that it would just be awkward. They either have kids and never left the county, or they're still trying to live the party lifestyle of PSU a few years after college.

looking at facebook, almost all of the people from my high school whom i am still friends with (but don't ever see) went to school in ny and stayed in the area afterwards, in many cases they appear to still be hanging out with the same people/doing the same things they were doing as in high school. seems kinda lame, imo.

Haha yup, I maintained exactly one friend since HS and through him I met some of the coolest people ever.

The thing is it's easy to go "most of the popular kids never left home"...I found this with literally every clique. They went to college but never found new friends, moved back home afterwards and do the same exact shit they did at 17. Def, lame.

I don't know if you guys know of this group of kids from hs through college but it's the people (mostly girls) who were pug fugly in HS and then got complete physical/mental/social makeovers and became "popular" in college (really they just fooled dorky guys into thinking they were cool) and now have this aura of bitchy confidence that makes me want to throw up...on them.

So true. My roommate for two years in college was a kid I went to high school with, but we barely knew each other in high school. We had different groups of friends, knew each other only by saying hey at lunch or something. Then we got to college, and we ate lunch together on the first day of classes cause we didn't want to eat alone, haha. And then he introduced me to his roommate who he went to grammar school with, and from that day on we all became best friends.

When kids we went to high school see me hanging out with him, they're confused because they didn't even know we knew each other, haha. It's just funny what kinds of things life throws at you.

i hated pretty much everyone in my high school. even some of my best friends i knew i didnt want to keep in touch with after school. there were maybe five people i wanted to keep in my life, and all but one of them still are.

i constantly get requests on facebook from people i didnt even talk to back then. i accept them, but immediately hide their updates. that way i dont feel like a dick for denying them, but also am not inconvenienced by not caring about their lives.
