I don't know why Brodeur would sign anywhere else. Pitt has the cap room to throw Parise $7-8 million a year. Philly will not sign Parise...they don't need anymore scoring. Justin Schulz is the most overrated scrub in a long time. And I see Semin ending up on a team like Toronto or Montreal -- Burke has to do something on Sunday or he's fired at the end of the season.

Prust will bend over to Sather and re-sign with the Rangers, much less than that $2.2 number being floated around. Unless somebody big goes to the Pacific to a team not named the Kings, the Kings have that division in the bag next season -- it looks much weaker. Pitt resigning Crosby to a 10-year deal is very dumb considering his concussion past. Ditto on the Kings and Quick...$7 million is too much for a goalie for 10 years.

If Ottawa adds a big piece they could finish at the top of the eastern conference next season.

as I stated in the other thread, I think this is just Marty waiting to see what happens with ownership/Parise. he does not want teams contacting him directly starting on Sunday so he hired an agent (same as Crosby's I believe) to handle his calls)

Devils also announced that the entire 4th line is back. only terms released are 2 years, $750k per for Bernier

Kulemin (i'm hoping) will have a bounceback year next season...apparently went through a lot of personal shit cause of the lokomotiv crash. MacArthur is more versatile than it seems but ya, risky.

Kulemin, whatever. Clarke, however, had back to back 20 goal seasons. He's not gonna light the world on fire, but I'd say he's reliable.

And regardless, even if Kuli doesn't improve on his 2012 total of 7 goals, and Lupul goes back to being a 50 point player, we've now got JvR on top of our-already top-10 offense. We don't need Semin.

you have JvR until he gets hurt again. A lot of discussion about his future worth considering he's got head and foot problems pretty early on in his career.

I don't think that's any reason to pursue Semin, though.
