I think they are at "that point" as a band , anyhow. They can put out new music on the Beach Boys schedule and their fans will be happy. Do an occasional tour of 6 cities playing material off of Science, Make yourself, and of course a handful of others and they'll sell out at 80/ticket.
The band has such a cult following, which is deserved after putting out so many solid songs. (notice, songs not albums) .
Terrible news, they are a fantastic live show. The last record was not up to their standard but many of the songs translated into great setlist on the last headlining tour. These guys are too good to be done, I bet they release another classic record.
Damn, this sucks. This band has never put out a bad album IMO (although I wasn't a fan of Brandon's solo album at all). I've never seen them live, either... something always comes up that makes it so that I can't attend.
Oh man. I loved The Wild Trapeze like immensely. So this isn't the worst news. Also, really enjoyed If Not Now, When? It was slower and a grower, but extremely solid. Light Grenades certainly had its moments. "Quicksand" and "A Kiss to Send Us Off" are really good.
