The only band I've ever heard with that term associated to it is Russian Circles.

Russian Circles, ISIS, Mono, Pelican, Rosetta, etc etc.

It's a pretty vast genre. I'd agree that a lot of the ambient, droning parts of the music of the last two would fit the genre. Obviously they have more vocals that the rest. People call Moving Mountains post-rock even though they're full of vocals as well.

well it's no Cult Of Luna, Isis or Rosetta but songs like Casting Such A Thin Shadow, Emergency Broadcast :: The End Is Near and In Completion have a post metal feel

I hate to do this to bands, but I really can't into much beyond Safety for these guys. I know Disambiguation is very technical and talented, but it doesn't do anything for me. However, I hope these guys make the album that they want to make and enjoy, not re-do their old stuff or make something the fans are asking for.
Good group of guys who deserve the respect and fame they've got.

On a side note, any word on the new Almost?

Didn't listen to their last record, but everything they've ever released always worthed at least a few spins in my stereo, for me, so I'll surely check this out.

Disagreed man. Aaron's drum parts are way more interesting. He has such a unique writing style. His fills are great. I don't think Disambiguation is more technical.

I love all three records though and pretty much pretend it's the only material they've ever released

I miss when aaron was in the band. Didn't feel like an underoath album without him

LITSOS and Disambiguation are totally their best albums. Here's hoping they keep progressing that style.
