Just got into this stuff recently, loving La Dispute, mewithoutYou, and Listener. On a harder note, Defeater has definitely piqued my interest. Bands with spoken word/shouted vox...they all have this intense passion about them I find intoxicating.

Is there anything else out there like this?

They don't really have the same spoken word thing going on, but you'd probably like Touché Amoré, Pianos Become the Teeth, As Cities Burn, and The Chariot.

It's funny, I listened to the old Chariot stuff. They different these days? I have all of ACB's discography and the other few didn't get a super a super fair chance when I checked them out before. I'll look up these.

Yeah The Chariot's latest album is definitely their best, Long Live. I remember seeing them back in 2007 after The Fiancee came out and they were good with a lot of energy, but they have better music now.
