Your post was funny because a week or so you were posting things like "okay this teaser doesn't count, I'll wait until I hear a song before judging" and when you heard a (fucking dreadful, candidate for worst-song-of-the-year shitstorm that you just might passably call a) song you've now changed your tune to be all like, "I'm waiting for a proper single before deciding whether to get this." So it's sort of hard to take your posts seriously. The other posts I referred to were surely self-explanatory with regards to their hilarity.
People are posting in this thread telling you this band blows because they do actually blow, not because they hate you, or are trying to patronise you. You could probably make a case for Muse having a listenable album like a decade ago (I wouldn't agree, but it wouldn't be unreasonable) but they've been shit forever now. I can't believe anybody ever thought Matt Bellamy was some kind of visionary, or even intelligent. That single is the final barrier: he can't even play an instrument anymore, and his voice is a parody of his previous self.
edit: I feel like this points are worth making pretty emphatically because a lot of people do still actually cling on to Muse as being a good band, and in this country at least, some kind of major landmark for British music. I mean, damn; they were picked to write our Olympic song. It would be wrong to ignore how bad they are now. |
What the fuck haha, I was just waiting to see if I wanted to preorder this or just buy it on amazon after its out. Calm down.
I've heard 2 songs from this already. I wasn't too overly crazy about either of them, but they aren't exactly bad to me either. If the single sucks, I'll wait until the price goes down to get the vinyl. (By the way, this new song wasn't the single, just a bonus download you got for preordering.)
