I actually got the pleasure to talk to him outside of his show in Pittsburgh June 20th, 2012 with the Dear Hunter. We were on the sidewalk talking and i asked him "so I noticed you got a new tattoo on your head? What gave you the inspiration for that?" He told me that he got it during the writing of Blue Sky Noise. He was really into pills at the time and one night decided to get it. Then he has cleaned his life up due to the birth of his 2 sons. But that's the story of how he got that tattoo. 100% fact

I think they mean that the first half is better than the second half. And I'd probably agree. Great album though.

That's what I was suspecting, but I wasn't sure if it was a reference to actual sound of the record or something else haha. Still gotta listen to it, but it sucks that it leaked.

Completely disagree that its top heavy. I feel the album is at its strongest when 'My Only Friend' starts and 'Blood From A Stone' finishes. Disappointed that the final track is rather weak imo, but it is a fantastic album. The new tracks are only going to give me more wonderful live Circa moments I can tell.

A lot of people are saying it's much more like Juturna than BSN.

It still mostly reminds me of Blue Sky Noise. Not as many stand out tracks, but consistent good all the way through. Very solid record.

I haven't listened to Violent Waves yet. I'm just saying that based off of the general consensus. I'm too busy listening to Southern Air right now.

I hate that Violent Waves and Minus The Bear's new album come out on the same day. One of them is gonna get totally shafted.
