so someone releases a coloring book, and that makes it music news? i just wanna get this right. this would be the logic:
- dude is an actor with a musical project on the side
- a third party releases a coloring book featuring pictures of this dude
- coloring book is music news
using the same logic, I can make this statement:
- star wars is a series of movies with soundtracks, books, toys, and video games on the side
- a third party, released star wars coloring books
- new star wars coloring books are literature, movie, music, toy, and video game news
yeah that seems rock solid.
Could be wrong, but Star Wars is a film. The soundtrack and toys and other things mentioned are key to the film, therefore have no relation to music in the slightest (although in saying thisif the soundtrack was to be re-released on vinyl or a new format of course this is music news), so this is a terrible statement and a dreadful attempt at logic.
Ryan Gosling, is an actor as well as
a musician. His musical project doesn't have as much coverage or fame as his acting career, but it still exists, so using that logic, Ryan Gosling is a musician. If a photographer, released a series of photographs of a band playing a live show (The photographer of course being a third party, outwith the band) then these photos would be viewed as music news because yes they are related to the musician.
So yes, a third party issuing a colouring book, with pictures of a musician (one who I, along with others, consider one of my favourite vocalists) is indeed music related news.
Edit: And outwith that, AbsolutePunk, despite primarily being a music website, also covers a vast range of pop culture news, not just
musically related news, so they have every right to post news relating to an actor who is at this moment very popular with a lot of people, a lot of whom will be members of this site, and who will also be interested in this news.
