Hey, I like your writing! I really love Dark and the work you did on it. Keep it up!

You clearly have no idea about the process of production and what they actually do, which is surprising considering you're a wizard Harry ¬_¬
"Regurgitating Cities is the best we can hope for" ha this truly is laughable, again demonstrating your sheer lack of knowledge on the matter. There are a lot of amazing producers out there that have never 'topped the charts', but that doesn't mean they don't rival the likes of Neil Avron in terms of experience and ability. A producers main job is simply to make the songs sound as good as they can and get the full potential out of them. Yes, the band has to come to the table with good songs BUT there is a fine line between a good song and a great song, and it's the producer that can make that difference by extracting that last 10%.
I don't blame the last two producers for the albums, and I didn't say that I did (neither did the band for that matter, they are always full of praise for both Neil and Brendan, so get your facts straight before spouting your rubbish).
The simple fact is if you knew anything about the world of recording or producing you would know how floored your comment was.
yeah you're way more informed than me. I have all your records, you really did work with some amazing producers. I have worked with none, I'm a nobody.

With all the complaints of people, I always hope that bands will stay true to themselves. I think the new song Self-Starter is excellent start (ha..) to their new album. I'm sick of fans wanting bands go in certain directions, giving poor advice. If anything, bands should be completely free to write and compose however they like to their heart's content. Screw the fans, the music should be something they enjoy. For example, I think Brand New does the best given so many high expectations. They are free to evolve and experiment with any style they like. If you don't like their music, stop buying/ downloading it.

I don't think Sprinkle has ever topped the charts. He's not going to make you a hit album, he doesn't have the ability. The proof is in the pudding. looking at his track record, his best work is cities, so regurgitating Cities is the best we can hope for. I'm all for you being a fan of his, but Neal Avron seems more polished than Sprinkle. But in Neal's case, he can only work with what is given to him and Anberlin weren't giving him good work. You'd have to be pretty good to turn water into wine, and that's what they were expecting of him. Anberlin's writing took a hit and they, like you, seem to blame the producers.
I love this post. It makes me laugh and laugh and laugh... and laugh and laugh
