Vandy will never compete with the big boys of the SEC, but they might be able to knock off a team like South Carolina, who always seems to play down to their level of competition.

Shamecock defense, especially the front seven, will be damn good though. I expect Carolina to win, but won't be surprised if Vandy pulls off some shit.

Probably some bias as a student, but I think we should win solidly as long as we score early and often... The one uncertainty I think there is coming into this season at SC on defense is at CB. Vandy will be a sleeper again this year though, definitely shouldn't be overlooked.

Some of my best friends are Carolina alumni. I graduated from Clemson, but I'm not biased against them. I'll talk trash every now and then, but I'll never deny the talent that's on their roster.

I know Akeem Auguste is out, and that they're starting Jimmy Legree at corner. I'd be more worried about their linebackers than anything though - Holloman should do well in that SPUR role, but I'm not sure about Damario Jeffery or Shaq Wilson. Clowney and Swearinger are the best players on that defense, by far.

They should beat Vandy big, but it just seems like they always let teams hang around.

Ugh, those Georgia Tech helmets. Russell was supposed to be coming up with some state of the art design that blew everyone away and wouldn't debut until kickoff Monday. I should have known it would be doo doo. Oh well.

Edit: They're apparently supposed to get the GT logo on them by game time.

George beating LSU? Unless Arkansas or Alabama changed their team name to Georgia, I don't see that happening unless LSU has another 8-5 season.

As for FSU winning the ACC, I hope so. I really really hope so. Same with South Florida winning the Big East. However as a Nebraska fan, I'm legally obligated to say Nebraska is in the running for the Big 10 Championship.

Also, as a huge LSU fan, I would love to say we'll win the title this year but I try to avoid saying things like that out of just bias. It's too close to tell right now, but we're absolutely a strong contender.

"I don't see that happening unless LSU has another 8-5 season." Is my take on that. Georgia can beat LSU, if LSU has an average year. However if they make it to the championship as a 1 loss team, I am willing to bet you that one loss doesn't come from Georgia. Then again, I wouldn't mind paying you if we beat Bama but lose to Georgia and still make it to the championship. That's just a great year for me.
