Overall great review, but I think Diamond Eyes is definitely closer to Around The Fur and Koi No Yokan is definitely closer to White Pony as far any similarity. Needless to say this is my Album of the year and It would be pretty damn awesome if the Deftones won another grammy because of this record...just sayin'

Picked this up today and I gotta say I agree with every single word. Album rips it hardcore like porno flick bitches.

You folks who don't get the production criticism either have really low standards or bad hearing. No offense.

Romantic Dreams is the best!

Heard nothing but awful things about this, and from fans that have stuck by them since Around The Fur. Gave it a listen myself, and fell asleep after the first song. Seems rushed; wouldn't be surprised if they're trying to get out of their contract.

And yeah, the production is awful. The songs might hold up better live, but I'm not about to fork out near $50 to find out.

You are wrong. Idk what "fans" you're referring to, but they need to get over themselves this record's awesome.

My brother and I have been fans since the 90's; we love every album, except for this one. In fact, every single person I know in real life, does not like this record. Clean out your ears; this isn't good.

i've been a fan since around the fur and i'm digging this record. I def don't think it was rushed, as I remember reading in an interview with abe about how the band is in a really great, exciting even, creative place. A lot of these songs give me that good ol' deftones feeling with a fresh twist... with that said, i'm def excited for Palms, Chino + Isis
