Good job judging not only her entire songwriting catalog based on a song that is obviously lighthearted and not meant to be taken seriously, but also on judging someone as a person without even knowing them.
"All Too Well", "Holy Ground", "Everything Has Changed", or "The Last Time" from her new album are easily just as well written pop songs as any Jack's Mannequin song. Yeah, I said it. |
Yup. I don't know when people will let it go that she's had some admittedly simple singles. Most artists best songs are buried deep in the catalog. I don't see the harm in doing that. Should we look at "Drunk Girl" and assume SoCo was all a gimmick?
But it's honestly futile at this point. I've had this exact argument with too many people and it's beyond exhausting. If people don't want to give
Red a chance and would rather go on disrespecting her and not admitting she's at least grown, let alone admitting they enjoy a couple songs, then so be it.
