since i heard about this i could not see how paul would pull off singing nirvana's songs...but this is fantastic and completely unexpected

Agree 100% - this is awesome.

Pretty sure the media took the whole "Paul subbing in for Kurt for a Nirvana reunion" out of context. Krist played with the Foo Fighters on a few dates in their most recent tours, not to mention they never referred to themselves as Nirvana. Paul just said he was in the middle of a Nirvana reunion.

In the end though, it gave a lot of publicity to the event which is what all of this was for anyway.
