Basically how I feel about it too. It's by no means their best work but it would have benefited greatly from a different production job.

Chris Penne ruined that album with his 32 double bass rolls throughout every second. Huge huge Coheed fan (Keywork tat on my spine and all) but I would never in a million years defend YOTBY, loving this new track though.

The only problem I have with Guns of Summer is the way it cuts off so abruptly.

I didn't like YOTBR, but their newer stuff has been good since then. I'm excited for this.

Those are exactly my feelings on it too. I wouldn't go as far as to call it "garbage," but Atticus Ross and Joe Barresi were simply the wrong producers for it.

I love that picture it keeps showing, and the song is awesome! The lyrics aren't really the coheed norm which is an odd and interesting thing all at once

a chug rhythm chorus? whattt. but god i love this. solo is dope. love that i'm getting close to 5 months of just new coheed music.

sounds like megadeth meets alien ant farm... not horrible though, very radio.. good lyrics

Exactly. There were still some great songs under there, such as Far in my opinion, but they just didn't sound the way I had hoped. Same thing with The Fall of Troy's final album as well, good songs under the wrong production.

Cool song musically, but sometimes Claudio really phones it in as far as lyrics go. Especially with YOTBR. I thought Afterman was a huge step up, I hope they keep it going on Descension...
