I think it'll absolutely leave a lasting mark since the rappers/artists in the genre who have made any sort of statement about the topic are very few and far between.

I honestly think hip hop could be ready for that change, maybe not the ASAP hip hop scene, but those who embrace and seek out independent / less ignorant (don't get me wrong though, love ASAP) music in the genre.

Love this song and the video, too.

Definitely a better representation of "true" Seattle than our other famous rapper (Sir Mix-a-Lot). Although Posse on Broadway is CLASSIC.

press is pretty mild. it's cool that people are checking out the Heist because of Thrift Shop but that song is almost too corny to move him forward. I just don't see his fame exceeding this song.
