Statement From Band

Mike Reynolds is no longer a part of For Today. He has decided that now is the time for he and his wife to put their plans in motion to enroll in bible college, and to begin working toward full-time missions work in the Middle East. Mike will be replaced by long-timefriend of the band, and former In The Midst of Lions guitar player, Sam Penner, who will be appearing with the band as they headline their upcoming FIght The Silence tour.

Frontman Mattie Montgomery has also released a public statement to anyone affected by Mike's recent comments regarding homosexuality.

Great move by this guy. Showing respect for everyone that has issues with what happened. This band can only get better without that guy holding them back.

I guess this is an adequate way to approach this shit storm. HE seems pretty genuine.

Mattie seems like a sincere dude who uses his beliefs in a positive way. Nice to see him taking the religion and arguments out of the statements and addressing the problem as a moral one.

Can't believe he gave his number out. Cool of him to handle the situation like this and be so open about it.
