Brave Baby is an indie rock band from Charleston, South Carolina [RIYL: Arcade Fire, Fleetwood Mac, The Killers]. Their debut album "Forty Bells" centers on the long-lost-but-never-forgotten feelings discovered in childhood and early encounters with love. The vocal performances given by Keon Masters brings to mind the arresting urgency and honesty found in the voice of Bon Iver's Justin Vernon. Guitar work by Christian Chidester reaches for the atmosphere while being anchored by Wolfgang Zimmerman’s solid, propulsive timekeeping and colorful production work.
