Should've just came up with a completely new name. But I get why they didn't.

Not familar with this band but although the reasoning behind is very respectable this change seems a downgrade. There are so many abbreviated names out there.

You can't edit your name when you have over 100 fans.

This is goofy, This Town Needs Guns isn't a great name but TTNG is silly. Explosions in the Sky didn't change their name after 9-11 and there were definitely people drawing that comparison.
