Today, it's time to announce to our fans and friends that we're turning the last page of this particular chapter of our lives. We've solidified plans to tour our well-traveled asses off for one last year, until the end of 2013, at which time we will be not necessarily be moving on from the band, but changing our approach to what we do with the majority of our time. More specifically, we will no longer be touring year round, nor will we be touring much at all anymore. We have decided to step away from the table before we get sick of our favorite meal; we've seen enough bands over the years grow old playing the same songs for decades, going through the motions, slowly fading, and more depressingly, continuing on for all the wrong reasons.
I love this band, i feel like the ska scene has really lost its steam. This band is used to selling out shows left and right and this past tour wasn't able to sell out my city like it normally always does. With that said they consistantly put out great music. They leave behind a great amount of music and hopefully we'll see BOTAR release something someday. They will be missed but hopefully not forgotten
kind of deceptive new title. They are doing tours for this entire year, then taking a hiatus from being a touring band. They will still conitnue to release albums and do festivals/one offs from here on out, but they wont be a touring act after 2013. Still there are 10 whole months left in 2013
Not really a hiatus.. They're still making music, they're just drastically reducing their touring. No more year long tours, only short ones, one off shows, and festivals. They specifically said they're going to make new music too.
They're not breaking up. They're gonna stop touring full time. If this means that we'll get new music on their own terms, I'm fine with sacrificing being able to see them as often. Plus, I live in NY so if they do any hometown shows, Keasbey, NJ can't be too far away
