Posted by: Andy Biddulph (03/08/13)
Alright, the Easter period is supposed to be a time of peace, reflection and all, but on March 30th Merseyside will turn things up a notch and get a bit *ahem* rad. The inaugural Radstock Festival hits Liverpool Academy for the day and judging by the line-up, it looks like it's going to be a big one. Take a peek at our pick of bands to get lairy with on the eve of Easter Sunday.

Bands To WatchBury Tomorrow
These metalcore kings-in-waiting are set to dominate the Hard Times stage with their headline slot. Expect a typically staggering clinic in destroying a room in 45 minutes.
Listen: "Knight Life"

Decade
It's been a pretty quiet few months for this spiky pop-punk outfit, but with Radstock capping what looks like being a triumphant tour with LYU, expect to see these guys emerge as contenders for set of the day.
Listen: "The Doctor Called (Turns Out I'm Sick As Fuck)"

Don Broco
Fresh off the back of a sold out UK tour, Broco might just be the hottest band in the UK right now. Press up competitions and sweet, angular rock? In six words: you'd be mad to miss it.
Listen: "Whole Truth"

Gnarwolves
On bafflingly early, catch the early train/bus/ride and soak in some gloriously filthy low-slung punk. Probably the last time these gentlemen will be seen anywhere near the bottom of a bill, too.
Listen: "History Is Bunk"

Natives
Don't fancy Gnarwolves, huh? Well still get there early doors to catch one of the UK's most hyped pop-rock prospects. The band (formerly Not Advised) kick off proceedings on the Monster stage.
Listen: "This Island"

Polar.
Despite being slap bang at the centre of the bill, Surrey lads Polar. are anything but middle of the road. If your face isn't melted by the end of their punishing half-hour of biting post-hardcore, come see us and we'll tell you how wrong you are.
Listen: "H.E.L.L."

This is a great line up for those up north. I'm surprised that Gnarwolves are so low down, who on earth are Drive By Night?

So glad this is getting covered by AP. Can't wait for this, I live just round the corner! I hope Gnarwolves get the reception they deserve.
