Carpenter really doesn't give himself enough credit with this group. He added some really nice melodies to sections where they were just doing freee-form jazz almost and he made the more "deathcore" moments really aggressive. I wish him best of luck with his first born and all, but I'll miss him a lot. However, I do agree with him about the band as a whole. They are WAY more talented than a lot of people recognize. I can't even categorize them in a particular genre because they're so multi-talented. This group is going to help shape metal and djent movement so much in the next ten years.
Aside from the djent thing, I agree. They are not that. Interested in where they go from here, much. If I may speak in Yoda.
