Agree with this. They sound burnt out but I think that's part of the reason why this album is so good. The lazy, sort of apathetic way the lyrics are sung sounds like someone who's broken and done with everything, which is where the album connects, to me at least, on an emotional level. It's kind of funny because the complete opposite approach was done on the EP, where he belts out equally devastating lyrics but in an emotionally charged and energetic way, and they still connect to the listener. So yeah, these guys are good at what they do.
Also I love that moment in Hollow where he sings the line "I swear that you can never tell that I'm hollow," and that slight pause in instrumentation is so simple but it's such a nice touch.
Anyway, RFC is probably going to take all of my money this year.
