If you haven't seen it already, there's a video that's been sweeping the internet at a rapid pace and with a good reason. The video is about Zach Sobiech, an 18 year old who recently died due to a rare from of cancer called osteosarcoma, that he was diagnosed with at the age of 14. Zach turned to music to spread his message in the form of a song called "Clouds." You can watch a 20-minute documentary on Zach's life and story in the replies. It's easily one of the most moving things you'll see all year. You can purchase Zach's album on iTunes with all the proceeds going to the cancer research fund set up on his behalf.
A random person that came into my job a few days ago saw my business cards on the counter and asked if my name was the same as the kid with cancer he saw on tv. I had no idea what this guy was trying to say at the time but later on was shown this video by my girlfriend. Sad but brilliant story.
I'm very, very rarely inspired by these types of things but goddamn if watching that didn't really make me think about my life. I've got my problems and issues but this kid was given a time stamp on his life and he didn't let it break him. What an incredible human being.
