ABSOLUTExclusive: Elway Song Premiere and Interview

Posted by - 07:59 AM on 06/12/13
Today we're bringing you a new song from Elway called "Patria Mia (Room 20)" and it's off of Leavetaking, which will be released June 25th digitally and July 2nd physically through Red Scare Industries. This catchy album closer (which you can find in the replies) is one of my personal favourites and if you're into bands such as The Menzingers you'll probably enjoy this. I also spoke with vocalist/guitarist Tim Browne about the record and you can check out that interview here.
Leavetaking is a little bit different, when we made the record we intentionally wanted to focus more on lyrics and song writing rather than making big huge anthems and sing alongs. God willing there’ll still be plenty of those on the record, but I think this record is a little bit more, we’re trying to maybe expand out a little bit lyrically.

Love the song. Love Elway. Does anyone else hear No Use For A Name's "Room 19"? (that's not a bad thing btw)

...Maybe that's what "Room 20" in the title of this song alludes to?

Hell yeah. The ending of that song has 'party' written all over it.

Wow that was amazing. I'm so stoked for this record. Delusions ruled.

They're hitting up my city in August with Masked Intruder, hopefully they play a couple new ones then!

Yep. It's funny how "Room 20" is part of the title.

Yeah, that's the intention. Would have asked about the song in detail for the interview, but I got to pick which song to stream and I was torn until the last minute because they're all so good. Definitely listen to the whole record when it comes out! Tim sounds better than ever and this is by far the best thing Elway has done yet.
