I thought this album was good, but I felt like it was their weakest release yet. Maybe I need to listen to it more, but it didn't grab me like Constellations or Messengers... or any of their other albums really.

ABR has always been a talented and great band but nothing since Messengers has been memorable for me. There was maybe 2 songs on Constellations but if it's similar to Levelers it's going to be a "listen a few times, rate on ITunes then shelve affair.

Production was always really suspect amongst their records, I really think this is the biggest improvement on this record (especially when compared to Leveler). It's mixed perfectly. Beauty in Tragedy is just insane, one of their best tracks to date easily.

8.5-9 for me.

Great Review. What does everyone think the strongest song off this record is?

If it's a 3% it won't show up under "best new music".
That's why I wanted Thomas to rate his Greatest Generation review higher, cos he has it at 3% and it didn't come up on the homepage.

Although I enjoyed Constellations immensely when it came out, I don't think I hardly spent any time with their last record and haven't listened to this one yet. I'll plan to soon.

I had no idea this was produced by Grant and Carlson. Pretty cool considering how fantastic this or the apocalypse's last album was.

I have mixed feelings about this album so far, they are incredibly talented musicians but I'm just kind of bored what they do and while I feel like it's selling them short when I say they haven't progressed, I don't hear anything dramatically different that blows me away. Maybe I'll notice it on later listen so we'll see.

Can't wait to check this out when my preorder gets here. "Provision" and "Fault Line" sounded huge at Warped Tour. Leveler is my favorite album of theirs so I love that I'm hearing good things.
