ABSOLUTExclusive: Chiodos Video Premiere + Tour Reveal

Posted by - 09:35 AM on 02/17/14

Chiodos have always had an affinity for the bizarre and what goes bump in the night (after all, the band is named for the trio of brothers who directed the cult film Killer Klowns from Outer Space), so it couldn't come as a surprise that the band's new video for "Why The Munsters Matter" is full of old black-and-white horror movie clips. The song is classic Chiodos - as it contains a Bone Palace Ballet feel while maintaining the band's rejuvenated energy and chaos (as seen on last summer's Warped Tour). Today, we are proud to premiere the band's new video along with the reveal of "The Devil Dance Tour 2014." The band's upcoming album, DEVIL, hits retailers on April 1st, but if you pre-order from iTunes you'll get six instant gratification tracks leading up to the release - an innovative digital pre-order initiative from the band, its imprint drk/lght, and Razor & Tie (more details in the replies). The band will also be releasing videos for each song on DEVIL leading up to the release, with the final week before release featuring an additional six video premieres following the initial six that will be staggered throughout February and March. Basically, Chiodos will be doing a lot of cool things for DEVIL - the band's best release yet. Head on over to the replies to check out the new video/song, see when the band is coming to your hometown, and don't forget to pre-order.

This is a good thing?

I really like the song, this was the song I was the most excited about just by listening to the clips in the making of videos they've been posting. Like it better than the last song, but they're both pretty good. This chorus rules.
