From HitsDailyDouble: Victory Records has asked for a summary judgment against former distributor Koch Entertainment, seeking an outstanding balance of $51,246.40, attorney's fees of $25,690 and an additional amount of $257,817.29 Canadian in unaccounted inventory for a total of $300k in a New York Supreme Court motion filed yesterday. The suit claims "Koch's failure to meet its payment obligations is a breach of the contract." Koch distributed Victory product in Canada from 1998-2001, and the agreement was then extended to June 2005. Victory is now distributed north of the border by Universal Music Canada. Victory head Tony Brummel has already racked up another $1.75 in angry e-mails since the suit was filed.
What Tony Brummel does with that money: he spends it on pushing Hawthorne Heights and Aiden into mainstream success while ignoring the other bands on Victory Records.
