Fuck my life, I wish I saw them instead of Shai Hulud.

Shai Hulud played tight as hell on that NFG tour. They sounded fantastic. Heavy and melodic as all get out. But, lets be honest, in Houston, there was atleast 1000 people there, and, MAYBE 10 people including myself was screaming along.
For a band that heavy and influential in the hardcore scene that has been around for as long as they have, they just simply arent going to make any new fans on a tour like this unfortunately. Im sure its great fun for them to be amongst old friends, but, they pretty much started their set as people were still walking in ha ha. It was just sad to see that no one cared. I dont blame them for stepping out, despite of what the reasons are.

damn, saw this show last night. i'm bummed i missed fireworks. i love shai, but they were assholes. because of them it was a non smoking show

Its a shame I had to sit through some band named Under the Ice instead of Shai Hulud. Why didn't Fireworks start tonight in Baltimore?

Thanks for clearing that up... and this is kind of what I was referring to when I said I was surprised b/c of other bands that have been allowed to play. I just wasn't thinking of those specific bands.

i assume the reason a band like slayer would be allowed to play is because of the money involved as slayer would be headlining and bringing in a ton of money where Shai Hulud is just an opener
