I enjoyed the premiere. I could deal without the idiot teenage characters and their "WOAH DUDEZ WE GOIN TO A SPACE SHIPPPPPPPPPP"

Made it halfway through before the bad script and poor acting got to me. I was so excited for this show, too. Disappointed.

I couldn't agree less. While FlashForward has its weak moments in the script, at least the acting is consistently good and it isn't riddled with hackneyed conflicts.

Wow , you should've watch the second half , it gets alot better.even the cliche thing with the mother and son gets alot more interesting , especially at the very end.
even if the script and acting are not that great , it's still better than 85% of everything else on tv.

I thought the acting and script for V were both significantly better.

The mother/son conflict is actually an element that they took from the miniseries, except in the miniseries the teenage Peace Ambassador had more of a conflict with his father. And while these kind of conflicts can be clichéd, it has a lot of potential in this series (will the Vs use the son to find out what's going on with the underground protest movement or vice versa, (how) will the mother and son discover that they're on opposite sides, etc.).

Anyway, I thought this was pretty good for a pilot and I really love the miniseries, so I hope it does well.

I think Ill check this out online or on DVR. The trailer looked promising and I watched part of the Miniseries (from the 80s) this past weekend and enjoyed it.
