I wouldn't really call them cliques but for the most part at my high school there were wiggers, black kids, and kids who played sports. I wasn't in any of them along with only a few other people. Everyone pretty much got along fine though.

Unless you don't have any friends.
EDIT: Sorry for quoting something you posted over a month ago haha I was just reading the thread, I didn't notice.

In my school, it pretty much goes like this. Popular group (me), Weird semi-popular, Soccer team, weirdos and creeps.

Every party is closed off to other groups. Pretty funny.

I go to a prep school so it's divided 50% Hockey jocks, 40% Asians, 5% artsy kids, 5% people from various other countries, and the prince of Butan is a hipster.

The only cliques at my school are the marching band/choir geeks and the star athletes. Everyone else just kind of blends in.

went to a relatively small Catholic, semi-military school. my class was great and yeah we had our group of friends, but no one was exclusive or anything like that. especially towards the end of my senior year, everyone just kinda stopped caring and everyone hung out together. i mean, during lunch, there's a massive long table where all the seniors just sat together.

I started college last month and there doesn't seem to be too many cliques, only really the generic 'chavs', 'Jack Wills/Hollister girls' and 'emos'. Less than my old school, at least.

We definitely have different cliques but they all mingle and mostly like (if not tolerate) one another. One of the many positives of being in a small school.

I go to a community college.

Smokers: Everyone besides me. There is smoke everywhere once you walk outside.

Kids who don't give a shit: These are the kids who don't give a shit about their schoolwork.

The Late-ies: Kids who show up towards the end of a given semester. These kids may also be grouped with the "Kids who don't give a shit."

The oldie-but determined: Someone who had something "come up" when they were younger, and now they are bettering themselves through the joys of education!

The blonde lesbians: Chicks that sit in front of me in my composition class that make-out all the time and tease each other under the table.

Clones of me: When I walk into the school bathroom near the sink there is an exact replica of me. This replica even goes as far is mimicking my every move. Once I leave the bathroom the clone stops tormenting me... Until tomorrow, when the process starts all over again.

In my school the minorities are now the majorities. Very, very diverse:
40% black, 30% hispanic (though mostly mexican), 30% everything else (including white)
But if we're talking about cliques:
55% ghetto, 35% preppy, 10% emo/scene
or we could say:
80% doesn't give a shit, 20% straight A students
(There really is no medium, it's battle of the extremities)
60% badass, 20% wannabe badass, 20% not badass

I don't really like my school, lol.

I feel weird saying it, but I feel like there really aren't many cliques at my high school. I mean, the stereotypical slutty girls stick together for the most part, as do the kids who try too hard to be different and "weird". And our marching band is like a cult. But we have one of the biggest high schools in the state,. And if you stay cliquey, you'll end up not having anyone to talk to in your classes.
Drama is a daily occurrence however. We used to be way worse with fights and violence, but it's oddly seemed decreased as the school size increased.
I also think the small amount of cliques has to do with just a lot of people being apathetic, or (more likely) way too high to care. By senior year, most people aren't really trying and just don't care anymore. Personally, I can't wait.
And skipping class is almost a sport at my school.

edit: I love how most you described the stoners at your schools as dirty and people no one likes. It seems like by senior year a lot of people get high/party all the time. I could be wrong though.
