Here is a review of Underoath's Winter tour stop in Austin on Tuesday with August Burns Red and Emery. After the show, I was able to talk with guitarist Tim McTague who says the band has just started writing songs that may be included in the next record, and they are hoping to be in the studio by late summer/fall to record.
I was there, and have the bruises to prove it.
It was the first show I've been to where I've yelled so hard my throat's been sore (I sing a lot, so it's usually hard for me to even lose my voice at a show); it was amazing.
It was a shame (and I'm surprised it wasn't noted in the review) that Spencer's guitar wasn't working.
Amazing show nonetheless.
Nice review. I wish this tour came to Boston. The last (and only) time I saw Underoath they had less than spectacular supporting bands with them and Tim wasn't able to play. Pumped for new material though.
would have been a cool tour but...underoath is really going to have to step it up to keep my attention with this record...they set the bar pretty high with Lost
I like Underoath and have all their records but for the most part, their last record didn't do much for me other than a few songs. Opener and the final songs were easily the best.
