the vocals ruin it for me

like the song a lot, about time they stopped trying to sound like metallica with their vox.

This is a lot better than I expected, the clean vocals aren't what I'm usually into but I could really get into this.

I'm more interested in God of War III.

lawl. Trivium isn't that old of a band. You just have just gotten out of middle school not too long ago eh? Personally I like the song, but I totally agree. Good metal is harder to come by these days...but hey, at least you didn't grow up with nu-metal as the primary source of "heavy metal"...

Ascendancy was great, but I've just never really felt the need to look further into them recently.

They sound much better with their new drummer. I was a big fan of Ascendancy, Ive seen Trivium 4 times and they always put on a good show.

Yeah, about 4 years ago. But the genres are just so saturated these days, there hasn't been anything I've loved recently in metal. But at least there is some variety in the scene.
