Not only is this dude hilarious, he's almost always dead on too. This guy should be a head writer at Spin or Rolling Stone, he's the first music writer I've been excited about since Klosterman.
I thought it was ironic someone working for MTV dares say anything about Panic! at the Disco, Blake Lewis, or 50 Cent since MTV will probably play the fuck out of their singles.
And to say that all Thrice music sounds alike is just retarded.
I didn't read it, so I'm not commenting on the article, but
50 Cent's first commercial album (Get Rich Or Die Trying) is excellent. Post-2003, the guy hasn't done anything impressive, but that album is great. Great collaborations (Eminem destroys "Patiently Waiting"), solid pop hooks, and straight flow.
