This review is about as flat as you think the album is. Poor form. This album is unreal.

How could you think Bambi fell short? Are you listening?

Are you saying that Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix wasn't a solid, consistent album? Did you ever review it? I'd be interested to read your thoughts on it.

Wow. I disagree with this review sooooooooooooooo hard. Sorry Thomas. This is easily one of my top 3 albums of the year so far.

Bambi falls flat? Second best track on there besides Frankenstein. Gahhh and it took so long for this review to come.

Bambi is brilliant, but you're right about some tracks just not pulling you in enough.

I CAN'T BELIEVE YOU DIDN'T MENTION FRANKENSTEIN!? Best song on that record, hands down. Maybe you should listen to it again.

Tokyo Police Club is such a good band. I think they have a long way to go with their music. I really like the song "Bambi" and "End of a Spark" are two very clever songs. But overall, great review.

I think your ratings are pretty solid, I agree with all of them along with most of your review. I was pretty pumped up for this at first but it wasn't quite the amazing that I was expecting/hoping for as a whole.

Probably my favorite work of theirs. It maintains energy and hooks pretty much from beginning to end. "Not Sick" is a ton of fun and will appear on more than a few of my future mixes I'm sure.

So I'm digging what I hear on youtube. Should I start with their first album or the ep?

There's a subtlety to these songs that either resonates with people or it doesn't. Some songs are instantly catchy and some aren't. Elephant Shell was the exact same, with a bit more "dance-beat" tracks.

Personally I love it. Top 10 of the year for me.

Yet another reminder why this site should stick to praising alesana records instead of bland and predictable attempts to review quality music.
