Wow. Um, I listened to the whole thing, but my respect for it dropped pretty soon after the vocals came in. That was unfortunate.

it's pretty much impossible to pull off a good cover of this song.

The song was done for a christmas charity compilation. Every band had to pick a christmas themed song, thought they made a pretty interesting choice.

Oh, and they had to record this song in it's entirety in about 6 hours.

I think they did a pretty good job given the circumstances.

any version of this song is going to be powerful to some degree, but in all reality, the power in the album recording comes form its sheer simplicity, both musically and lyrically. This arrangement, though definitely beautiful, is too complicated for such a simple song, making it seem lacking in the lyrics department, when really, thats not the case at all.

still, i commend their taste in song, though honestly, youd be hard presses to find someone who wasnt affected in some way by clarity.

It's definitely doable. I haven't tried to find any good covers of the song that are out there, but I bet there are some good acoustic ones.

The song lyrics sum up the cover perfectly... 'I didn't know what to say'

yeah. this is one of my favorite songs ever.

What did you think of the tracks from their full-length?

I thought the arrangement was pretty cool because it wasn't at all what I was expecting, but the vocals didn't do much for me. Good job anyway though, maybe this will open up Clarity to a new group of people.

this cover is decent. i've never heard an great cover of any jimmy eat world song to be honest.
