I've never hated Simple Plan. Diabetes inducing sugar pop? Sure. Catchy? Almost always. Embarrassing? Sure, why not. But this album title is so incredibly bad. Who honestly okayed that? I have to plead Canadian ignorance.

Simple Plan was the original bubble gum pop rock band. When this album gets released and people complain about how sugar coated it is, I just sit back and remember that's why I loved this band in the first place.

The funniest thing about it is that half these kids that blast the new ATL and stuff go and play it out in their cars and sing it in the shower.

I know this because I used to come in here and blast The Maine's debut or Mayday Parade's follow-up, but that'd be all I'd listen to all summer anyway haha.

I think this is way better than Dirty Work. First five songs are pretty rad. As is "Anywhere Else But Here."

I liked those as well. It's just weird that SP get shit on for making pop music their whole career but it's okay for ATL to keep doing it.

Yeah I think I may end up liking it more than ATL. Wasn't expecting so many slow songs though. And the Alex song is kind of disappointing, probably because I expected a lot from it. And maybe I wasn't listening good enough, but I honestly don't even hear him in it.

The second half does lag a bit. Last track is surprisingly poignant. Gaskarth sings the second verse of "Freaking Me Out." Overall the whole tune is just not strong at all.

Oh wow haha guess I wasn't paying attention at all. Loser of the Year is probably my favorite though. Summer Paradise actually isn't too bad either.
