Saw this guy in Birmingham a month or so ago at a small jazz cafe. Couldn't hear a thing because of the awful crowd he seems to have got himself. Talking all over him, felt sorry for him. His stuff does sound decent, although his most popular song just sounds like I Will Follow You Into The Dark by Death Cab I think. Will keep an eye on him and check the album out.

Will keep an eye on this guy. He's generating some attention though I'm not into his single enough to pursue this.

Which venue was it? I went to see James Blake at HMV in one of the main rooms and everyone was talking over him as well. It's beyond annoying. Also, who was supporting?

Was at The Yardbird. Was shocking, I saw Noah And The Whale at the Institute and the same thing happened. It seems if you get on the radio, you pick up a lot of casual listeners who clearly don't much care for hearing the songs that aren't singles from the radio. It's aggravating for people who love music and want to hear everything that the person is performing.

Yardbird is seriously my favourite place to drink in Birmingham but having played at it I hate it, everyone talking. It's just principal really. Even when James Blake performed his biggest songs, people still talked over them. Hopefully when I see Bright Eyes, that won't happen or heads will roll!

Do you do acoustic stuff then? Should send me a PM, would enjoy hearing your stuff if you live/play in Brum.
